TRATAMENTO ENDOVASCULAR DE ANEURISMAS DA AORTA ABDOMINAL INFRARRENAL EM DOENTES COM COLO LARGO – RISCO ACRESCIDO DE COMPLICAÇÕES?

A reparação endovascular de aneurismas da aorta abdominal infrarrenal (EVAR) é cada vez mais a opção preferencial para o tratamento cirúrgico dos aneurismas da aorta infrarrenal. O sucesso clínico deste tipo de reparação a longo prazo depende da manutenção de uma selagem proximal duradoura. A realização de EVAR em doentes com características morfológicas de maior risco nomeadamente colos proximais largos tem obtido bons resultados a curto prazo. Contudo, a longo-prazo, o sucesso clínico do EVAR nestes doentes permanece por esclarecer. Neste artigo, os autores realizam uma revisão da literatura procurando caracterizar o impacto clínico da presença de um colo proximal largo nos resultados a médio e longo prazo após EVAR.
