A formação de pseudoaneurismas após cirurgia gastrointestinal é rara. A maioria ocorre após cirugia do tracto biliar e cirurgia pancreática. Os pseudoaneurismas podem ter consequências potencialmente fatais, tais como rotura e hemorragia. Por esse motivo, esta entidade deve ser diagnosticada e tratada rapidamente.
